Spring 2023 Commencement Week

Commencement

Lourdes University Interim President Terry M. Keller, Ph.D., will confer degrees during Spring 2023 Commencement on Saturday, May 6, at 11 am in Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center. This is a ticketed event.

All guests are required to present a ticket for admittance to Commencement. If guests do not have a ticket for the ceremony, they will not be admitted into the ceremony location.

The University will Live Stream the ceremony for those who cannot attend or do not have a ticket. The Live Stream link will be shared prior to the event via this web page.

TICKET INFORMATION 

Graduate candidates will each receive 7 tickets for their guests. If a graduate does not need all 7 tickets, Lourdes encourages you to only take the number needed. This will allow the university to give graduates that need extra tickets an opportunity to receive those. Please note: any child who is 1 year old or older will require a ticket.

Graduate candidates must pick up their tickets and regalia in person. Tickets will be available for pick up from Monday, April 24th through May 2nd in the Registrar’s Office (SCH 139) during the following dates and time. Dates and Times for ticket pickup are as follows:

  • Monday, April 24th 9am-5pm
  • Tuesday, April 25th 9am-6pm
  • Wednesday, April 26th 9am-5pm
  • Thursday, April 27th 9am-6pm
  • Friday, April 28th 9am-4:30pm
  • Monday, May 1st 9am-5pm
  • Tuesday, May 2nd 9am-6pm
  • Wednesday, May 3rd 9am-12pm* NOTE: Extra Ticket Pickup ONLY (first come, first served)

Regalia

The deadline to order your cap and gown is Wednesday, March 22nd. Regalia will be delivered to the Registrar’s Office (SCH 139) and can be picked up with Commencement Tickets.  Anyone who misses the March 22nd regalia order deadline will need to pay an additional expedited shipping fee to have regalia delivered to their home address.

Baccalaureate

Baccalaureate is Friday, May 5 at 5 pm in Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel. Graduates, family, and friends are all invited to this service, and no tickets are required.

Awards & Pinning Ceremonies

Lourdes University will celebrate students and graduates at the following ceremonies.

  • 2023 Gubi Awards
    May 1st at 7:30 pm in the Franciscan Center, 6832 Convent Blvd.
    Lourdes University Athletics recognizes outstanding student-athletes, coaches and teams. This is a ticketed event.
  • College of Nursing Pinning Ceremony 
    May 4th at 7 pm in the Franciscan Center
    Lourdes University College of Nursing recognizes Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and Doctor of Nursing graduate candidates. The event includes an official pinning, oath and blessing of the hands. A reception follows. The event is open to the public. 
  • Student Awards Ceremony 
    May 4th at 5 pm in the Franciscan Center
    Lourdes University bestows awards on students and graduation candidates who have achieved high marks in academics, student life, service learning and campus ministry. During the ceremony, the Mother Adelaide Award is also given in honor of the university’s founder. The event is open to the public.
