With a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, you can prepare to sit for the CPA exam and be on your way to securing a central role in the private, government or not-for-profit sector. As an accountant, your duties can include assessing financial operations, preparing and examining financial records and making recommendations to enhance revenues, improve profits and reduce operating costs.

Accounting is both a science and an art and is the common language of business worldwide. The Lourdes University accounting program has outstanding faculty who possess real-world experience having worked in public accounting’s Big Four firms, industry, and government. Through the prestigious Larry and Kathy Ulrich Endowed Professorship in Accounting, Lourdes students are encouraged to participate in professional experiences outside of the classroom as they prepare to become tomorrow’s business leaders.

Students enrolled in the Lourdes University College of Business and Leadership have gained professional accounting experience through a variety of internships that often lead to full-time employment. Lourdes has cultivated a wealth of intern partnerships with such companies as Fiat Chrysler, the Internal Revenue Service, Weber-O-Brien, William Vaughn, and The VITA Program.
